So we needed a place to eat dinner in Slinger, and I decided on Tom's.
I'm glad we went here. The owner, Tom, was very nice. They had a great menu. I ordered the steak dinner. It was a good price: $15,16 for a 16 OZ steak, plus your choice of potato, salad or veggie + bread & butter. It all sounded good until Tom came back from the kitchen after our orders were placed to tell me they didn't have the steak. Bummer! So, instead, I got the mushroom beef steak(a fancy burger for those who don't know). It was really tasty. All the food was. So were the appetizers we got(brocolli and cheese bites & cauliflour). I would definitely go back.
A lot of regulars here. You could here Tom call them by name and ask them if they wanted their regular drink. The also had a couple pool tables, a poker machine and on the other side of the bar, dart baseball, with a full league in progress. It was Tom's bar VS the Slinger House right down the road!
Great local dive bar with a lot of regulars, good food and enough activities plus a few TV's to keep you entertained -

I would only recommend this restaurant to folks looking to overpay for less than mediocre food, a crummy atmosphere, and minimally pleasant service. Even the drinks/bottled beer was bad.

We waited half a hour for a table. Once seated we waited over an hour for food. My young boy ordered scallops. He had one, then I went to cut the remaining scallops for him. The sea food were raw! My child had consumed one. The waitress was angry me for calling this to her attention. So much so that the kitchen staff had to bring the new scallops out. Never ever go to Tom's.

One liner: simple tasty food. Best slaw for those of us that hate creamy style.
Tom's has a great fish fry, and in particular their lake perch. The coleslaw is vinegar-based which is great because I hate creamy slaw. This is a small bar-like setting...so plan to wait for a table at primetime! -

New to town and decided to try this place on a whim when the popular spot down the street was packed. We were really glad we did! Went on a Saturday night when they were serving all you can eat broasted chicken, served family style. The food was great, did not have to wait for a table. We will be back.
